Katerina –
Basic but does what it says and easy to use
I needed a new microwave after my old one from Tesco packed up after 15 years. I needed black one and the old one had glass/reflective door which looked very posh. It also had grill function but as I not used that the entire time, I decided a simple one would do, especially as I needed one pretty fast. My counter has limited height and only 30cm so I was limited on choice. I struggled to find a nice looking microwave under £200 that fit the bill e.i height, colour, design. Decided to go for this one. So far so good, it looks better than most and is easy to operate. The only disappointing fact for me is that it looks very plasticky, maybe because it is. I was hoping the front door would give more “premium” look – don’t get me wrong, it looks better than most, but still nowhere the same as my old one. For now, it works for me. It’s easy to operate. You cannot see through the door when in use, but it doesn’t bother me.In near future I may replace it with more advanced & fancier one if I find the spare cash. All in all, I’m not blown away but it’s nice and works well.

Does what it says on the tin
I’m a big fan of Samsung products (already have phones, washing machine and fridge) so I decided on Samsung for my replacement microwave. Works perfectly and looks sleek. I especially like the fact that the start button is an actual button and not a “touch button” as that is where my last microwave failed.

Easy reliable microwave
The microwave looks pretty stylish for a modern-looking kitchen. It is really easy to use, with pre-programmed setting instructions on the microwave itself. The only issue with it is the window is dark. You can barely see it moving inside.

Microwave
Nice and compact just what was required to replace our aged previous microwave. Very simple to use and clean.

No instructions included and unnecessarily complicated
EDIT: Following a headache-inducing load of hassle (see below) trying to navigate the Samsung webhttps://homeandgardentrends.co.uk/ and having to eventually contact their customer service department via webchat (when I finally located the link to it), I finally did receive an email to say my warranty has been registered. I have consequently changed my one star review to three stars, but it should not have been so difficult to obtain the extended warranty. As a result of both this experience and my disappointment with the short lifespan of Samsung washing machines (which always seem to start malfunctioning just after the warranty has expired), I have begun to seriously lose trust in the Samsung brand.___________________________________________ I bought this microwave to replace a Panasonic one that had begun to rust and was therefore potentially hazardous. My first impressions were that, whilst this Samsung microwave looks sleek and contemporary, it is very light and feels rather flimsy. The door makes a loud clatter when being closed. The user manual is made of jotter material and mostly features the usual ludicrous safety information. Only one page covers the oven features and they are very unhelpful; no instructions whatsoever as to how to operate the machine are provided, just a list of the control panel features and lists of âautocookâ features, quick defrost features and soften/melt features. The list of the âauto cookâ options are mostly comprised of particular foods. I usually use a microwave simply to reheat food and do not appreciate having to select the food type (eg broccoli). What if itâs a plate of different types of food? There is a âmicrowaveâ option but, because no instructions are provided, it is not obvious how to select the required cooking time. The default time seems to be set at 30 seconds and the upwards arrow allows you to increase the time by increments of 10 seconds, but only when youâve pressed the start button and the microwave is in operation. This is easily the worst design of a microwave I have ever encountered – and I have owned many over the years. To top all this off, if – like me – you don’t wish to keep the microwave on standby but switch it off at the socket, you will find that it wonât immediately operate once powered on again. My last microwave did.In addition, the door of the microwave is entirely opaque, so you cannot see if anything inside is bubbling or melting. I cannot understand why a brand like Samsung would release a product with such an obvious and stupid design flaw. Finally, the product listing boasts an extended warranty if you register the microwave with Samsung within 90 days. I spent well over an hour trying to navigate Samsungâs awful webhttps://homeandgardentrends.co.uk/ only to have to speak via webchat to an advisor who told me their system has not been updated with the warranty details of this product, thus entailing that I could not register it. I was advised that a code for the warranty will be created in due course, at which point it can be registered on their system. Frankly, I find this absolutely absurd and astonishing given that the extended warranty is one of the main selling features of the product. The QR code on the user manual which is supposed to lead to the warranty details simply leads you to a sales page. In order to attempt to register the product so as to activate the extended warranty, you have to create an account and the system does not allow you to opt out of receiving marketing communications. You can only âacceptâ the terms and conditions once youâve authorised all sorts of permissions to Samsung. To say I am unimpressed – with the product, with Samsung and with the supposed extended warranty – is an absolute understatement. I sincerely wish Iâd bought a different product altogether. In light of all of the above, I do not recommend buying this microwave.
